5.3.2 Security Requirements

Based on the above threat model, we propose that secure authentication of mobile devices for IoV in Web 3.0 needs to satisfy the following security requirements:

Mutual authentication. All participants of the IoV system should be authentic and legitimate, and the cloud server, edge nodes, and vehicles should authenticate with each other before the IoV service is provided. Considering that a switchover of edge nodes is involved when the IoV service is proceeding, the vehicle should also be mutually authenticated with the new edge node.
